Mainstream schooling provides many children with a suitable, relevant path into their adulthood. As individuals, the same approach does not always cater for the needs of every child. The home schooling approach provides some children an alternative pathway to academic success. Such an approach allows the powerful relationship of the family to cater for the specific learning styles and needs of their children. After all, the one to one attention provided by parents in this way can be a successful alternative to larger, classroom based environments.

At Integral-Tutoring there is a recognition that learning does not always fit the same size and shape. We can provide learning which retains integrity and high expectations, but at the same time adapts to the needs of you as parents.

We believe that whilst learning at home can be of great value, that opportunities to meet other children, and also parents, who are in similar circumstances, can enhance the power provided by a home schooled approach. We provide discrete workshops which provide not only additional learning opportunities, but also social interaction with peers of a similar age. The ability to discuss, reflect and adapt ideas is a vital skill of learning, where the sharing of individual ideas can create a momentum of collective thought allowing individuals to adapt and extend their own skills and knowledge.

We can offer sessions in small group sizes within our learning workshop, or alternatively provide them to larger groups within the heart of your community. We welcome the involvement of parents within these workshops if you so wish, as learning and sharing is a universal experience.

We provide creative and engaging experiences underpinned by academic content. Through our own teaching experiences we recognise that the most powerful learning is led by your child whilst focussed to an appropriate outcome. Our workshops can offer:

Theme based learning workshops which incorporate a variety of academic strands under the umbrella of a specific topic. The content delivery will include core skills in reading, writing and maths, but will be provided in a creative, integrated and stimulating context. If your child enjoys learning about the 'Great Fire of London' or how paper airplanes can glide in the air,we have a suitable experience for you.

Applying Mathematics workshops aimed at application of skills in a practical manner, acknowledging the key strands of the numeracy curriculum.

Creative writing workshops designed to grow a child's imagination in writing, and support it with grammatical competancy.

Reading for pleasure workshops aimed at raising children's enjoyment of reading through their own experiences, and then growing their accuracy and empathy reading skills.

Learning through action workshops where children experience academic principles through doing practical activities which motivate and stimulate their minds.

All of our workshops are underpinned by a working knowledge of the national curriculums, and are applied through the experience of techniques of delivery through outstanding successful teaching practice.

If you are an interested parent wishing to see how we can help, please don't hesitate to contact us to see how we can meet your needs.
