Founder and Lead Tutor of Integral-Tutoring
Anthony, as the founder of Integral Tutoring, is committed to the growth and development of children. Through past experiences within teaching and senior management, Anthony decided that his desire to see success for children lead him away from the traditional classroom environment. Building upon his past experience of developing and supporting children, parents and staff, he felt the next stage of his own fulfillment was to create an independent business, where he can reach positively to a wider group of children within the community.
Anthony's last post was as a Primary Lead Practitioner, Lower Key Stage lead and manager of 'behaviour for learning' across the Priory Witham Academy Primary School in Lincoln. As a Primary Lead Practitioner, Anthony was committed to helping teachers and other staff members broaden and deepen their teaching skills, thereby enabling pupils to achieve their maximum potential, whatever that may be. He worked in an environment which was exciting and motivating for all those involved . Furthermore, Anthony benefited by working alongside experienced leaders, who helped him to grow and develop into an effective, dynamic and aspirational leader.
Anthony has demonstrated in his twelve years of teaching a commitment to improving standards and has been recognised in previous schools as an ‘outstanding ‘ teacher. As part of the senior teaching team, Anthony aided teachers to develop their ongoing skills in delivering effective, purposeful and demanding lessons. He also enjoyed creating a pre-teaching qualification in partnership with Bishop Grosseteste Teaching University to provide experiences and skills for sixth form students wishing to enter into teacher training.
Prior to taking up the post of Primary Lead Practioner at Priory Witham Academy in May 2014 Anthony was a senior teacher in a Nottinghamshire school for 8 years. Before that, he spent 2 years as a teacher in a Nottingham inner city environment, working in a school experiencing challenging social circumstances. He has actively supported and developed teachers, co-ordinating CPD opportunities. He has coached and mentored several stakeholders within the school environment, promoting the values and impact of positive behaviour management strategies and their affects on children’s learning. Anthony has also supported colleagues into an educational profession, including NQTs, student teachers and teaching assistants.
Anthony has lead several areas of the curriculum to raise competency and standards within those subjects. Anthony was part of an area network of CPD, seeking to source training within the local school communities. He has been the curriculum lead in Science, History, I.C.T and Design Technology. Anthony has also been responsible for the health and safety of children at school and on trips through his capacity as the 'Events and Visits Co-ordinator'.
Prior to teaching Anthony enjoyed a succesful career in the pharmaceutical industry, both in a scientific and business capacity. He experienced business development, contract management, clinical research administration, and delivery of scientific studies.
